SAN ANTONIO – Roy Moore, chief development officer of Consert Inc., an intelligent energy management company headquartered in San Antonio, will present at DistribuTECH along with Elaina Ball, CPS Energy vice president of technical services and energy solutions, on Tues., Jan. 24, at 1 p.m. in room 216A. Their presentation, “CPS Energy’s Demand Response Program of the Future,” will highlight Consert’s pilot program with CPS Energy and its current deployment with the utility.

“It’s an honor to be a part of the DistribuTECH conference and to share with industry leaders Consert’s innovative approach to load management as part of San Antonio's New Energy Economy initiatives,” said Moore.

Additionally, Consert will demonstrate its technology at DistribuTECH in the Verizon booth (# 4411) and Qualcomm booth (# 1941).

Consert recently relocated its headquarters and senior leadership team to San Antonio from Raleigh, N.C., a move that allows the company to showcase its cutting edge technology in a growing hub for green technology.  Consert signed an agreement with San Antonio-based CPS Energy, the largest municipally owned energy company in the nation providing both gas and electricity, which will result in the reduction of 250 megawatts of peak demand over the next four years using Consert’s Virtual Peak PlantSM software and will create more than 150 new jobs in San Antonio over the next few years.

Consert converts electric consumption in homes and small businesses into cost-effective, clean sources of capacity and energy reserves for utilities. The Consert load management solution is based on real-time, wireless technology which allows participants to conserve energy using a web-based, home area network. Consert utilizes the Verizon Wireless 3G and 4G LTE networks to provide real-time communication to the Consert data center. This highly secure network delivers fast data speeds and increased efficiencies for utilities.
